How to set up the Outlook Add-in (plugin)?

With Zocks’ native integrations for Outlook and Zoom, all of this client information is built directly into your existing workspace so you can stay focused without switching tabs or navigating away from what matters.

Note: The terms add-in, plugin, and app are used interchangeably throughout this content and they all refer to the same extension.

What are the requirements?

An existing Zocks account is necessary to configure the setup. The Outlook plugin was designed to provide access to the AI intelligence features in all Zocks subscription tiers but certain features might be exclusive to higher subscription tiers. No further integration is required to use the platform but email replies and export options become much smarter if you connect your CRM and Financial Planning tools to your Zocks account.

How do I install the Zocks AI Outlook plugin?

The easiest way to install the plugin is by opening your Outlook mail, navigating to the Apps section and clicking the "Get add-ins" button. You can search for Zocks AI and add it to the list of apps available in your Outlook.

Once the app is added, you can access it from your Apps menu. At the first open, you will be asked to authenticate and log into your Zocks account.

How do I use the plugin?

The Outlook plugin is designed to maximize your time savings by automatically collecting relevant information from your meeting history, contact details in Zocks, connected CRM systems, and your Financial Planning or Portfolio Management tools.

To do this effectively, Zocks identifies clients by their email addresses. If the sender’s address isn’t listed in your Zocks Contacts, the plugin will not process their details.

Important: User Roles are respected. Please ensure that colleagues are not incorrectly assigned as Clients in Zocks.

The plugin surfaces rich client intelligence in two key areas:

  • Beside your emails

  • In your Outlook Calendar

To access Zocks, simply click Apps → Zocks when viewing an email, or open a calendar event and select Zocks AI Assistant from the ribbon menu.

What features can I use in Outlook?

How to troubleshoot the Outlook plugin?

If you can't install the plugin, it is most likely that your firm has an admin policy that restricts installable add-ins. Please get in touch with your Microsoft administrator to allow adding the Zocks plugin.

If client info or email replies are not showing up, please check your Contact list within Zocks and ensure that the email address in question is assigned to a Contact.
