Holistiplan Tax Planning Integration

You can connect your Holistiplan Tax Planning account to Zocks to access tax analysis data for clients during Live Meetings, to enhance your Meeting Prep, when using Zocks’ Ask Anything, and automating email responses. You can also update contact information in Holistiplan using client information uncovered during meetings.

With this integration, you can:

  • Connect your Zocks and Holistiplan accounts

  • Link contacts in Holistiplan to Zocks

  • Create new client records (add household) in Holistiplan from Zocks

  • Update client information in Holistiplan with insights from your meetings

  • Prepare for client meetings using tax analysis and planning data from Holistiplan

  • Get instant insights from Holistiplan when using Zocks’ Ask Anything AI Assistant

  • Generate email replies based on Holistiplan tax planning data

How do I link my accounts?

  1. First, your Holistiplan Firm Admin needs to enable the integration in Holistiplan by going to Settings > Integrations and switching the toggle to Enabled on the Zocks card.

  2. Next, log in to your Zocks account and navigate to Profile Settings > Integrations

  3. Scroll down to the Tax Planning integration section and click Connect next to Holistiplan.

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions and authenticate with your Holistiplan account.

  5. Once connected, you'll see Holistiplan listed as ‘Connected’ on the Integrations page.

How do I link my Holistiplan contacts to my Zocks contacts?

Your Zocks contacts can be linked with your Holistiplan contacts once the connection is established in three ways:

1. From your Contacts menu

  • Go to your Contacts menu and select the contact you want to link

  • Click the gear icon next to the contact's name

  • Scroll to Holistiplan and select the Holistiplan contact you want to link

2. During Meeting Prep

  • When preparing for an upcoming meeting with a client, Zocks will help you identify if a contact doesn't have a link to any of your connected systems by highlighting the system's icon

  • If your contact doesn't have a link to a contact in a connected system it means that your meeting prep can't pull data for that particular contact into your meeting prep or answer questions when interacting with the AI assistant

  • Simply click on the Holistiplan icon next to the contact's name and select the Holistiplan contact you want to link and click save

  • After saving the link rerun your meeting prep so that it can include Holistiplan data as well

3. From Past Meetings

  • When updating contact information in Holistiplan from a conversation or email in Zocks - on the past meeting view, click the Holistiplan icon next to the contact's name

  • If the contact is not linked to a Holistiplan contact yet, you'll be able to create your contact as a new client in Holistiplan, or you can map them to an existing client in Holistiplan, by selecting the client from the dropdown.

How do I update client information in Holistiplan?

After each meeting, Zocks analyzes your conversation and highlights potential updates for your client’s personal data in Holistiplan. Zocks compares your meeting details with existing Holistiplan data and suggests new or modified data records for you to review and save.

To update an existing Holistiplan contact with new information discovered in your meeting, open the meeting from the Past meetings section and click the Holistiplan icon next to the client’s name in the Participants section.

Zocks will display your client’s current Holistiplan data (if there’s any) on the left, with suggestions on the right using details captured during your meeting. For each section where information can be updated, use the checkboxes to select which changes to keep.

How do I use Holistiplan data in Meeting Prep?

Default Meeting prep templates now include portfolio management information automatically. For linked contacts, your Meeting prep will automatically use and include Holistiplan information when you're using the system default templates.

If you're using custom templates, make sure to include a tax planning section in your templates for Holistiplan information to appear.

You can define your own template and data will appear according to your preferences, but here is an example template section:

[Provide a detailed breakdown of the client's current tax situation using the most recent and up-to-date tax return data. Include: total income, AGI, and taxable income with specific dollar amounts; filing status, marginal bracket percentage, and average effective rate; total tax liability and deductions (standard/itemized with Schedule A details); investment income breakdown including qualified/ordinary dividends and short-term/long-term capital gains with exact figures; carryforward losses available; safe harbor status and credits claimed; Schedule B, D, and E details; and any upcoming tax deadlines or required planning actions. Create HTML tables with appropriate column headers for numerical data (such as Income Type, Amount, Tax Rate for income items or Deduction Category, Amount, Schedule for deductions). Order tables by dollar amounts where applicable. Include all tax components, dollar amounts, and planning elements with comprehensive information available in the data.]

How do I access Holistiplan data with Ask Anything AI?

  • Meeting summary page
