Zocks works with the calls that Zoom Phone records. There's no separate bot and no live join. When a call ends and the recording is ready, Zocks retrieves it and turns it into notes.
How it works
Connect Zoom. Connect your Zoom account to Zocks and grant access to your Zoom Phone calls.
Record calls in Zoom Phone. Recording happens on the Zoom side, either automatically or per call. Zocks only receives calls that Zoom records.
Zocks processes the recording. When a call ends and the recording is ready, Zocks retrieves it. Zocks matches it to a scheduled meeting by phone number, or creates a new meeting if the call wasn't expected.
Zocks only works with calls that Zoom Phone actually records. If a call isn't recorded on the Zoom side, Zocks won't receive or process it.
There's no separate Zoom Phone integration
Zoom Phone isn't a separate integration. It's part of your standard Zoom connection. To capture Zoom Phone calls, connect Zoom to Zocks and enable to process your recorded phone calls.
Connect Zoom to Zocks
If you haven't connected Zoom yet (new users)
Log in to Zocks.
Go to Settings → Integrations.
Click Connect on the Zoom integration card.
Log in to the Zoom account you want to connect.
Review the requested permissions and Allow.
Click Allow. You'll return to Zocks and Zoom shows as Connected.
Click the Zoom Phone tab and enable the feature.
If you already connected Zoom (existing users)
If you connected Zoom before Zocks supported Zoom Phone, you need to reconnect. This grants the new permissions Zocks needs to access your Zoom Phone calls.
Go to Settings → Integrations.
Find Zoom and click Disconnect.
Refresh the page, then click Connect on the Zoom integration card.
Review the permissions. You'll see access to your Zoom Phone calls.
Click Allow. You'll return to Zocks with your connection restored.
Each Zocks user needs their own Zoom login. Two Zocks users can't connect to the same Zoom account.
Turn on call recording in Zoom
Zoom doesn't record calls by default. You need to turn on recording in Zoom before Zocks can capture your Zoom Phone calls.
Only a Zoom admin can change these settings. On a company Zoom account, ask your Zoom admin. On a personal paid Zoom account, you can turn it on yourself.
In Zoom, go to Account Management → Account Settings → Zoom Phone → General, then turn on Automatic Call Recording.
Capture a Zoom Phone call
You can capture calls in 2 ways. Choose the option that fits your workflow and your firm's compliance rules.
Option 1: Record a single call (ad hoc)
Record calls one at a time when you want full control over which calls Zocks captures.
During a Zoom Phone call, click Record on the Zoom Phone screen.
When the call ends, Zocks receives and processes the recording.
The call appears in Zocks as a processed meeting within a few minutes.
Setup (Zoom admin)
Turn on both settings in Zoom:
Account Management → Account Settings → Recording and Transcript → Record to Computer Files
Account Management → Account Settings → Zoom Phone → Ad Hoc Call Recording
Option 2: Record every call (automatic)
Record all your calls without any manual steps. This suits teams who want notes from every call.
Zoom records your inbound and outbound calls automatically.
Zocks receives and processes each recording after the call ends.
Notes from every call appear in Zocks.
Setup (Zoom admin)
Go to Admin → Phone System Management → Users and Rooms.
Find your user account and click your name.
Click the Policy tab.
Add your user as an Access Member with Download permissions.
Click Save.
Turning on automatic recording under Users and Rooms → Policy overrides the automatic recording setting on the account-level Phone tab.
Recording, storage, and retention
Recording settings, user permissions, storage, and retention stay under your control in Zoom. Manage them in line with Zoom's policies and your firm's compliance rules.
Frequently asked questions
Do existing users need to set up a new integration for Zoom Phone? No. Zoom Phone is part of your standard Zoom connection. If you connected Zoom before Zoom Phone support, reconnect Zoom to grant the new permissions.
Why do I need to reconnect Zoom? Zoom Phone needs extra permissions your original connection didn't include. Reconnecting grants Zocks access to your Zoom Phone calls.
How long does it take for my calls to appear in Zocks? Usually a few minutes after the call ends and the recording is ready in Zoom.
What permissions are needed for automatic recording? Your Zoom admin adds you as an Access Member with Download permissions under Phone System Management → Users and Rooms → Policy.
Where do my Zoom Phone recordings live? In Zoom, under your account's recording storage. Zocks retrieves a copy to process into notes.
My Zoom Phone calls aren't processing. What should I check? Check that recording is on in Zoom, that your Zocks Zoom connection includes phone call processing enabled, and that your firm allows Zoom Phone in your Zoom settings.
