Use the Zocks MCP server to bring your meeting intelligence directly into Claude. This lets you ask open-ended questions about client conversations, surface insights from conversations, and interact with Zocks data in the AI tools you already use.
Use cases
The Zocks MCP server makes your client intelligence available directly inside your AI tools. You can ask natural questions and get synthesized answers grounded in your actual meeting data.
With the Zocks MCP, you can:
Surface a client's motivators, concerns, and goals across all past meetings
Retrieve everything discussed with a household on any topic over a given time period
Score and evaluate your most recent advisor meetings
Identify financial planning gaps for any household
Track client sentiment and engagement trends over time
Scan meeting transcripts for compliance and suitability concerns
Identify referral opportunities hidden in client conversations
Build discovery talk tracks and coaching tools from real advisor meetings
And more!
How it works
The Zocks MCP server is a remotely hosted service that makes your firm's meeting intelligence available to any AI client that supports the Model Context Protocol. When you ask your AI tool a question about a client or meeting, the AI tool recognizes that it needs Zocks data, queries through MCP, and responds using your actual transcripts and AI-generated summaries.
When connected, the server:
Authenticates users via OAuth 2.0 through your Zocks login - meaning no passwords shared with AI tools
Provides access only to meetings and data the authenticated user is already authorized to see in Zocks
Allows the AI to interpret your question naturally while Zocks supplies the grounded, sourced meeting data
Note: The AI handles question interpretation and language generation. Zocks provides the underlying intelligence. This means you can ask open-ended questions like "What did the Johnson family discuss about college planning?".
Prerequisites
Before any user in your organization can connect to Zocks' MCP server:
Access must be enabled in Zocks. Follow steps described in this article.
Each connecting user must have an active Zocks account with access to the relevant meetings.
Your AI tool must support OAuth 2.0 authentication and Streamable HTTP transport. (The AI tools mentioned in this article, such as Claude and ChatGPT, all support OAuth 2.0.)
Connect your AI tool to Zocks MCP
Claude.ai and Claude for Desktop
For both claude.ai and Claude for Desktop, an Admin (Claude Admin, not Zocks Admin) must first add Zocks as a connector before other Claude users in the organization can connect.
Admin setup (one-time):
Select your profile icon in the bottom-left corner of Claude, then select Admin settings.
Open the Connectors tab, then select Browse connectors at the bottom of the list.
Search for Zocks in the search box and select it.
Select Connect. This adds Zocks to the list of available connectors for your organization.
User setup (each user connects their own account):
Select your profile icon in the bottom-left corner of Claude, then select Settings.
Open the Connectors tab.
Next to the Zocks connector, select Connect.
If prompted, sign in to your Zocks account, then select Allow to grant Claude access to your Zocks data.
You are redirected to the Connectors page, where the Zocks connector displays with a Configure option. Select this to view each MCP tool available and choose whether to set tools to Always allow or Needs approval. By default, tools are set to Needs approval, which means Claude will ask for your confirmation before running a Zocks query.
Tip: Setting frequently-used tools to Always allow makes your workflow faster. You can change this at any time from the Connectors settings page.
ChatGPT
The Zocks app is currently under review by the OpenAI team and will be available in the ChatGPT app directory soon.
Until then, you can connect Zocks to ChatGPT by manually adding it as a custom MCP app. This requires a Workspace Admin (ChatGPT Admin, not Zocks Admin) to set it up using ChatGPT's developer mode.
Custom MCP apps are available on ChatGPT Business, Enterprise, and Edu plans only, and currently work on web only (not mobile).
An admin or workspace owner must first enable developer mode and create the Zocks app before anyone in the organization can use it.
Enable developer mode. In ChatGPT, go to Workspace Settings → Permissions & Roles → Connected Data and enable the Developer mode / Create custom MCP connectors toggle. On Business plans, only admins and owners can use developer mode — each admin must enable it for their own account.
On Enterprise and Edu plans, admins can also grant developer mode access to specific members or groups from the same settings page.Create the Zocks app. Navigate to Workspace Settings → Apps → Create. You will be prompted to provide the details of the MCP server you want to connect.
Enter the Zocks MCP server URL. In the server endpoint field, enter: https://mcp.zocks.io/v1/mcp
Configure authentication. Select OAuth as the authentication method.
Create the app. Click Create. The Zocks app now appears as a draft under Workspace Settings → Apps → Drafts. It is not yet visible to other users in your organization.
Publish the app. Once you are satisfied that the app is working correctly, go to Workspace Settings → Apps → Drafts, click on the Zocks app, and select Publish. During the publish step, Enterprise and Edu admins have additional options:
Configure Actions lets you control which specific Zocks tools are allowed - we recommend enabling all tools
Configure Access lets you limit the app to specific user groups within your organization, so only certain teams or roles can connect to Zocks.
After publishing, the Zocks app moves to the Enabled tab and becomes available to users in your workspace.
User setup (each user connects their own account):
Once an admin has published the Zocks app, each user who wants to use Zocks in ChatGPT must connect their own Zocks account.
In ChatGPT, go to Settings → Apps. You will see the Zocks app listed under Enabled Apps.
Click Connect next to the Zocks app.
You will be redirected to the Zocks login page. Sign in with your Zocks account credentials, then select Allow to grant ChatGPT permission to access your Zocks data.
You are redirected back to ChatGPT. The Zocks app is now connected to your account and ready to use.
To use Zocks in a conversation, you have two options:
Click the + (More) button in the message composer and select the Zocks app from the tools list.
Type @Zocks in your message to invoke the app directly.
Troubleshooting
Authentication error during sign-in - Verify you are signing in with the same account you use for Zocks. Check that your Zocks account is active and in good standing.
Claude returns no data for a client - Confirm you have access to that client's meetings in Zocks. MCP respects the same permissions as your Zocks account.
Claude asks for approval on every prompt - In your Connectors settings, set the relevant Zocks tools to Always allow.
