To stay compliant, every meeting may need a clear consent status for each participant. Consent tracking captures and logs this for you - automatically.
What consent tracking does
Zocks captures consent at the start of every meeting and stores it against each contact. The status decides whether meeting data can be processed and kept.
If consent isn't confirmed, the meeting is flagged and its data is blocked from view. Your account's retention policy decides when unverified data is deleted.
Plan availability
Consent tracking is available on all plans.
Configurable client consent and compliance settings are available on Pro and Ultimate.
Configure compliance settings
Who can do this: Account admins. Available on Pro and Ultimate.
Admins can shape how consent works across the account:
Enforcement mode — choose client-level consent (the contact's stored status applies to every meeting) or per-meeting confirmation (consent is confirmed each meeting).
Custom warning text — replace the default consent warning shown in meetings with your own copy.
Evidence upload — set to optional, required, or disabled.
Comments — set to optional, required, or disabled.
To find these settings:
The Four consent statuses
Each contact has 1 consent status at a time. It updates as new evidence comes in.
Accepted - the participant agreed to be transcribed and analyzed by the AI Assistant.
Rejected - the participant declined.
Revoked - consent was given before and later withdrawn.
Unknown - no consent signal was captured. This is the default for new contacts and for meetings where consent wasn't discussed.
How automatic tracking works
The AI Assistant listens for consent in the meeting and updates the status when it hears a clear signal. Each change is logged with:
Date and time
Method (automatic or manual)
Meeting ID
If nothing is said about consent, the status stays as it was. New contacts stay at Unknown until a signal is captured or set manually.
Set or change consent manually
Who can do this: Owners and Admins.
You can override the status when consent was given outside Zocks — in writing, by email, or in person.
To change consent for a contact:
Open the contact's profile.
Go to the Consent tab.
Choose Accepted, Rejected, Revoked, or Unknown.
Add a comment and attach evidence if your account requires them.
Save.
Evidence can be a PDF, PNG, or JPG. Your account admin sets evidence and comments to optional, required, or disabled.
Confirm consent for a whole meeting
When everyone in a meeting gave consent, you can confirm them all at once from the meeting view, when evidence and comment is not set. This sets every participant to Accepted in one step.
To confirm consent for a past meeting:
Open the meeting.
Click Verify participant consent.
Review the participants and confirm.
The meeting data is unblocked right away.
View consent history
Every consent change is kept in a read-only audit log on the contact's profile. The history shows:
Date and time of the change
Who or what changed it (advisor, admin, or automatic)
The new status
Any comment or evidence
The meeting ID, if the change came from a meeting
The audit log covers changes from the Zocks app and from internal admin tools, so nothing is missed.
What happens to unverified data
Meetings without confirmed consent are flagged and their data is blocked from view. If consent isn't resolved within the retention window set by the account admin, the meeting and its data are deleted automatically.
