Which way do I connect?
How you connect depends on where your mailbox is stored, not on whether your company uses Microsoft 365 for anything else. Some companies use Microsoft 365 for email and Teams, but still keep mailboxes on a server they manage. Check with your IT team if you're not sure.
Your mailbox is in Microsoft 365. Use the Outlook integration instead of Exchange. You'll only need to sign in with Microsoft, and no password is stored.
Your mailbox is on your company's server, and you sign in with Microsoft. This is a hybrid setup. Enter your Exchange server address, then sign in with Microsoft. No password is stored.
Your mailbox is on your company's server, with no Microsoft sign-in available. Enter your Exchange server address, email address, and password. Zocks stores your password encrypted, and checks it against your server right away.
What does my IT team need to set up?
Ask your IT team to confirm the following before you connect:
Your Exchange server can be reached from the public internet. A server that's only reachable over VPN can't connect.
Your Exchange server can make outbound calls to Zocks over HTTPS. This is how Zocks knows when something on your calendar changes.
Your server is running Exchange 2013 SP1 or newer.
If you're connecting with a username and password, basic authentication is enabled on your server.
If you're connecting with Microsoft sign-in, your mailbox is present in your company's Microsoft directory, and your server accepts Microsoft sign-ins.
Windows or domain authentication, smart cards, certificates, and shared or delegated mailboxes aren't supported.
How do I connect my Exchange calendar?
Log in to your Zocks account and go to Integrations.
Find Exchange Calendar and select Connect.
Enter your Exchange server address, for example https://mail.yourcompany.com.
Depending on your setup, either sign in with Microsoft or enter your email address and password.
Once connected, Exchange Calendar will show as Connected on your Integrations page.
Each user connects their own mailbox. There's no company-wide connection, so every user on your team needs to connect individually.
What about video meeting links?
Exchange doesn't create video meeting links on its own. Connect Zoom to add a meeting link when Zocks books a meeting for you. Microsoft Teams isn't available as a video option with Exchange Calendar, even if your company uses Teams elsewhere.
Troubleshooting
If meetings aren't syncing after you connect, confirm with your IT team that your server meets the requirements above, especially the Exchange version and the outbound HTTPS connection. These are the most common reasons a connection looks successful but doesn't sync.
