Summary of the change
Zoom now requires explicit user-level authorization for any application that joins a meeting on behalf of a Zoom user.
As a result:
Zoom integration is required to capture Zoom meetings
Meeting capture is tied to the authorized Zoom user
Assistants cannot join meetings unattended, before the user joins, or remain after the user leaves
These behaviors are enforced by Zoom and are not configurable by Zocks.
Expected capture behavior
Meetings that are expected to be captured
Meetings where a Zoom account is connected and authorized
Meetings where the authorized Zoom user joins using the same account
Meetings where the authorized user remains present during the relevant discussion
Meetings that will not be captured
Meetings where the authorized user does not join
Meetings joined with a different Zoom account than the one connected
Meetings where the authorized user leaves early
Meetings where Zoom meeting-level security settings prevent assistant entry
Meetings scheduled by an assistant
When a Zoom meeting is scheduled on behalf of an authorized Zoom user:
The meeting can be captured
Capture begins when the authorized user joins the meeting
The identity of the person or system that scheduled the meeting does not determine capture eligibility. Capture depends on the authorized Zoom user joining the meeting.
Recommended setup for reliable capture
Ensure a Zoom account is connected and authorized
Join meetings using the same Zoom account that is connected
Remain in the meeting for the duration of the content that should be captured
Additional support
If a Zoom meeting was not captured, review:
Whether a Zoom account was connected
Whether the authorized user joined the meeting
Whether the correct Zoom account was used
For further assistance, contact support with the meeting date and time.
