Data privacy and compliance are essential to earning and keeping client trust. Zocks offers consent and compliance tracking features available under Setup > Settings. On phone calls, the Compliance Notice Engine lets you control exactly when clients are notified that an AI notetaker is present, using a manual trigger, a custom audio message, and an optional periodic beep.
Manual compliance notice on phone calls
This setting puts the advisor in control of when note-taking starts on a phone call.
When it's turned on, Zocks won't automatically start taking notes on a phone call. Press 5 on your dial pad to play the compliance notice and start Zocks taking notes — Zocks doesn't take notes until you press 5.
As soon as the Zocks Assistant joins the call, it plays a short reminder for you: "Zocks A.I. Assistant is on the call. To start taking notes, press 5." This message is for the advisor only, so you don't forget to trigger the notice before you get into the conversation.
You can press 5 again at any point later in the call to play the notice a second time. This is useful when someone joins partway through, so they hear the disclosure too.
You're not limited to the standard message:
Upload your own notice — up to 5 MB — to replace the standard one with your firm's own wording or voice. Once uploaded, your custom compliance audio plays instead of the standard one.
Restore to default — revert to the standard message at any time.
Periodic beep on phone calls
This is a separate setting from the manual notice above, and can be turned on or off independently of it. When it's on, a short beep plays every minute for the first 5 minutes after Zocks starts taking notes — a recurring, audible reminder that the call is being recorded.
How it works
Call your Zocks phone assistant.
Zocks lets you know it's joined: "Zocks A.I. Assistant is on the call. To start taking notes, press 5."
Call your client and merge them onto the line.
Once everyone's on the call, press 5 on your dial pad.
The compliance notice plays, letting everyone on the call know an AI notetaker is present.
Zocks starts taking notes.
If someone joins the call later, press 5 again to play the notice for them.
Note: If you don't press 5, Zocks won't take notes on the call.
Turning it on
Go to Setup > Settings > Compliance.
Turn on Manual compliance notice on phone calls, Periodic beep on phone calls, or both — they're independent settings, so you can enable either one on its own.
Optionally, upload a custom notice, or use the standard one.
As with the rest of the Compliance Notice Engine, Account Owners can enforce these settings across the organization so individual advisors can't turn them off.
