Connect Salesforce
Before you start: Your Salesforce Admin must enable Zocks in Salesforce before you can connect. For more information click here.
In Zocks, go to Integrations.
Find Salesforce and select Connect.
Sign in to Salesforce and allow Zocks access.
Once connected, you can manage the integration any time from Integrations → Salesforce → Manage. Your personal options, such as contact and calendar sync, are on the Your Settings tab.
How contact sync works
Before you turn on contact sync: By default Zocks brings in the Salesforce contacts you own.
Contact sync brings your Salesforce contacts into Zocks so they can be linked to meetings, used in meeting prep, and matched when you save notes.
To turn it on, go to Integrations → Salesforce → Your Settings → Contact Sync and turn on Synchronize your contacts automatically.
A Salesforce contact syncs to Zocks only when:
You own the record in Salesforce. Contacts owned by another user sync only if that user has turned on contact sync in their own Zocks account.
It has a primary email address. Contacts without an email don't sync.
The email is unique.
New contacts and changes can take a few minutes to appear in Zocks.
Sync your Salesforce calendar
If you keep your meetings in Salesforce, Zocks can sync them straight from your Salesforce calendar. You don't need a Google, Outlook, or Exchange calendar connected.
To turn it on:
Go to Integrations → Salesforce → Manage.
Open the Your Settings tab.
Turn on Calendar sync.
Your Salesforce meetings then appear in Upcoming Meetings, and the AI Assistant joins them automatically, just like with any other calendar.
Event filters: All standard event filters apply, plus extra filters specific to Salesforce. See Invite your AI Assistant to meetings and setup Event Filters.
Private events: Private Salesforce events are handled the same way as in every other calendar integration.
Custom event objects: If your firm uses a custom event object instead of the standard Salesforce Event object, this is supported through custom mapping. Contact your Implementation Manager or our Support Team to set it up.
Save meetings to Salesforce
After a meeting, you can save the meeting summary to Salesforce and create and assign tasks there, from the meeting in Past Meetings.
How do I save my meeting notes to Salesforce?
When opening a client meeting from the Past Meetings section you will be able to save all results or individual sections to your CRM from:
The Export dropdown in the upper right corner.
On the Meeting Summary tab with the Save to Salesforce buttons
On the Meeting Details tab by clicking on the Salesforce icons
You can specify the Contact that you would like to associate the notes to in the Contact dropdown.
How do I save my Tasks to Salesforce?
When opening a client meeting from the Past Meetings section, you will be able to save all tasks to Salesforce by clicking the Salesforce icon in the Follow-Up Tasks section on the Meeting Summary tab.
You can specify the user that you would like to assign the tasks to as well as the due date of the task and the category in the modal window.
Navigate to your meeting record right from Zocks
Where your notes appear in Salesforce depends on how your firm's Salesforce mapping is set up. To see exactly where a meeting was saved:
Go to Past Meetings and open the meeting.
Select the export history icon in the top-right corner.
The External Updates panel shows each save, with a link to the Salesforce record it was written to.
For more, see CRM Deeplink Navigation from Zocks.
FAQs
Can Zocks update other Salesforce records from a meeting, not just contacts?
Can Zocks update other Salesforce records from a meeting, not just contacts?
Yes. Zocks can update records such as opportunities, cases, service requests, and the custom objects your firm uses, straight from a meeting. This works with Salesforce and Salesforce-based platforms.
From the meeting, you choose the record, review the changes Zocks suggests next to the current values, and confirm. If the record doesn't exist yet, you can create a new one.
Your Implementation Manager will help you set this up, including which Salesforce records and fields Zocks can update for your firm. Contact your Implementation Manager or our Support Team to get started.
Can Zocks send Client Signals to Salesforce automatically?
Can Zocks send Client Signals to Salesforce automatically?
Yes. Zocks detects Client Signals in your meetings and emails, such as life events, referrals, business changes, and property sales, and saves them to the right contact record in Salesforce. This happens automatically while the meeting or email is processed, so there's nothing for you to do afterwards.
Each type of signal is saved to the Salesforce object your firm chooses. Once a signal reaches Salesforce, any flows or automations your firm has built start automatically, for example rollover workflows, reinvestment tasks, referral routing, or retirement sequences.
Your Implementation Manager will help you set this up and map each signal to the right place in your Salesforce. Contact your Implementation Manager or our Support Team to get started. For more about Client Signals, see Save Client Signals to your CRM.
Troubleshooting
A contact from Salesforce isn't showing in Zocks
A contact from Salesforce isn't showing in Zocks
Check the contact meets all the sync requirements: you own it, it has a unique primary email, and it matches your sync filters.
Wait a few minutes. New contacts and changes don't appear instantly.
Restart the sync: go to Integrations → Salesforce → Manage → Contact Sync, turn Synchronize your contacts automatically off and save, then turn it back on and save again.
Availabilty
Available on all plans.
