Customize your templates with the AI Assistant

Use the AI Assistant to change how Zocks formats your meeting notes. The same steps work for every template.

You can shape Zocks outputs to fit how your team works. If you often reformat notes by hand, you can set up your templates so Zocks does it for you.

This guide uses the meeting summary template as an example. You can change every template in Zocks the same way, including meeting prep, follow-up emails, and all your other outputs.

How meeting types and templates work together

A meeting type tells Zocks which templates to use. For example, your Discovery meeting type can use one template for the summary, another for the prep, and another for the follow-up email.

Inside a template:

  • Text in [brackets] is a prompt. Zocks writes new content for it every time.

  • Text outside brackets appears exactly as written every time.

Open the template you want to change

  1. Go to Settings > Setup.

  2. On the Meeting Types tab, click the gear icon next to the meeting type you want to update.

  3. Scroll to Templates to see which template each output uses.

  4. Click the template to open it in the template editor.

You can also find all your templates on the Templates tab in Setup.

Describe your changes to the AI Assistant

The AI Assistant is built into the template editor.

For the best results, tell the assistant 3 things:

  • Where the change should go (which section)

  • What should change

  • Any limits, such as length, number of items, or format

The Assistant confirms each change and updates the prompts in your template.

Example requests

Make notes shorter: “Under the Key Topics section, format the notes as very brief bullet points. Use no more than 5 bullet points and only highlight the most important information.”

Add a table: “Under the Accounts Discussed section, format the information as an HTML chart. Break it up into source, amount, and any other notes.”

Add a new section: “Above the Financial Discussion section, add a new section about any decisions presented to the client and what the client decided.”

Adjust a change: If the result isn't quite right, ask again. For example: “Format that section as notes with a yes or no answer instead of a chart.”

Tip: Prompts that include the word “detailed” produce long paragraphs. Remove or replace that word if you want shorter notes.

Save and rerun a past meeting

When you're happy with your changes, click Save.

Template changes only apply to new outputs. Zocks doesn't update past meetings automatically. To see the new format on an existing meeting:

  1. Open the meeting from Past Meetings.

  2. Click the three dots (⋯) and select Rerun.

  3. Wait for Zocks to create the new outputs.

Match notes you already like with a sample

If you have notes formatted exactly the way you want, add them as a sample. Zocks updates your template to match, which speeds up setup.

  1. Go to Settings > Setup and open a Template.

  2. In the assistant panel, click Add a sample.

  3. Paste your example notes and confirm.

Customize all your other templates the same way

Everything in this guide works for every template in Zocks, not just meeting summaries. Use the same steps to change your meeting prep, follow-up emails, and any other output.

To get started, go to Settings > Setup > Templates, open any template, and tell the AI Assistant what you'd like to change.
