View, download, and manage meeting transcripts

Turn on transcript access, view and download transcripts, keep names accurate, and create transcripts from audio or video files.

Zocks creates a transcript of every meeting it captures. This article explains how to turn on transcript access, view and download transcripts, keep names and terms accurate, add meetings from an audio or video file, and find a transcript that isn't showing yet.

Turn on transcript access

Transcripts are only visible when transcript access is turned on for your account. If you can't see the transcript for your meetings, this setting is probably off.

To turn it on:

  1. Go to Settings → Setup → Setup Settings.

  2. Open the Transcript section.

  3. Turn on Enable Transcript Access.

Don't see this setting? Only your account Owner can change it. Ask your Owner to turn it on, or see Roles and user groups within Zocks.

View and download a transcript

  1. Go to Past Meetings and open the meeting.

  2. Open the transcript to read the full conversation.

  3. Download the transcript if you need a copy outside Zocks.

Downloading transcripts is only available on the web, not in the mobile app.

The transcript appears once the meeting has finished processing. If a meeting is still showing Assistant analyzing or won't load, see Get your meeting summary when a meeting won't finish.

Ask questions about a transcript

You don't have to read the whole transcript to find something. Ask the Ask Anything AI Assistant, for example "Where is the client's daughter relocating to?", and it will search your meeting data for the answer.

Keep names and terms accurate

  • Speakers: to change who a speaker is linked to, update the meeting's participants. See Manage meeting participants.

  • Client names and firm terms: add the names, terms, and jargon your firm uses so your transcripts match how your team talks. See Account specific vocabulary.

Upload a meeting from a file

Have an audio or video file of a meeting, for example one held outside Zocks? Upload it and Zocks will create the transcript, summary, and follow-up email:

  1. Go to Past Meetings and select Upload meeting.

  2. Upload the audio or video file (MP3 or MP4).

  3. Add the meeting title, date, time, and participants.

If you leave the title blank, Zocks can create one for you. See Auto-generate meeting titles for phone and uploaded meetings.

Note: You can upload a recording, but not a transcript or notes file created by another tool.

Find a transcript that isn’t showing

If a meeting shows a duration but no transcript yet:

  1. Check that transcript access is turned on (see above).

  2. Check whether the meeting is still processing. Transcripts appear only once processing is complete.

  3. If the meeting has finished processing and you still can't see the transcript, contact us with the meeting title, date, and start time, and whether it was an online, in-person, or phone meeting.

How long transcripts are kept

How long Zocks keeps transcripts and other meeting data depends on your account's data retention policy. See Tailor data retention policy.
